No album by The Burden Remains sounds like another; the DNA may always be the same (it’s always clear who you’re listening to), but without stylistic blinders it manifests itself in a new form every time. What’s new is the DIY attitude, a testament to the band’s growing self-confidence and technical know-how. And it reinforces the impression that by taking matters into their own hands, The Burden Remains has found yet another way to increasingly discover and become their true selves.
